Kiruna: One
hundred summer days and no nights. From the end of May to the middle
of July, the sun never sets in Kiruna. The midnight sun is a unique
and wonderful experience! Autumn fills nature with a spectrum of
colours, endless clear skies and wonderfully crisp air, and winter
is lit up by the white snow, casting a magical blue light at dawn
and dusk. On clear winter nights, the northern lights put on a spectacular
and glittering light show. If you visit us in spring, Kiruna offers
a combination that is hard to beat with the option of winter activities
on a blanket of snow while enjoying the warmth of the spring sun.

listen to the gulls cry, smell the seaweed and tarred jetties. If
you would like to experience more drama, visit Lofoten in its winter
attire with darkness, northern lights and snow – an exotic
and unusual experience. Watch the killer whales close up in autumn.
The weather changes quickly and dramatically. Snow, rain, wind and

Hamsun:
Hamsun’s Kingdom is not a specific place. The adventure land
was created by Knut Hamsun. People from around the world dream of
being here – this is as close as you can get to that dream.
Northern Nordland gave Hamsun inspiration for a whole life of writing.
In the intersection of Salten, Ofoten and Lofoten you will find
a condensed version of Nordland – just as we know it in Knut
Hamsun’s world-famous novels. Read more here:
